    Overview

Quarry Rock Lookout is a short and scenic North Shore hike that combines dense forest with beautiful ocean and mountain views. The trail climbs through Douglas fir and hemlock forest, crossing small bridges and navigating roots, stairs, and uneven sections along the way. At the end, the trees open onto a large granite outcrop overlooking the calm waters of Indian Arm, nearby islands, and the forested hills surrounding Deep Cove. The hike is approachable for many casual hikers, although the stairs and exposed roots can become slippery after rain. Its accessibility and impressive viewpoint make it one of the most recognizable hikes around Deep Cove.
