1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Hikora ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. About Hikora
Hikora enables users to create, discover, and join hiking events and groups.
Hikora does not organize, host, or directly control events.
3. User Accounts
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your account secure
- Be responsible for activity under your account
We may suspend or terminate accounts if these terms are violated.
4. User Roles
- Organizers can create/manage events and groups and require a paid subscription.
- Participants can browse and join events at no subscription cost.
5. Payments & Subscriptions
- Organizer features require a paid subscription.
- Billing is recurring unless canceled.
- You may cancel at any time through your dashboard.
- Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
Payments are handled by third-party providers. Hikora does not store full payment details.
6. Event Disclaimer
Hikora is a technology platform only.
- Events are created by independent organizers.
- We do not verify organizer identity, participant behavior, or event safety.
- We do not guarantee event accuracy, quality, or outcomes.
Participation in any event is entirely at your own risk.
7. Assumption of Risk
Hiking and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury or death, weather conditions, terrain hazards, and wildlife encounters.
By using Hikora and participating in events, you agree that:
- You are fully responsible for your safety.
- You voluntarily assume all risks.
- You are physically and mentally capable of participating.
- You are responsible for your own equipment and preparation.
8. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Hikora and R & D ARTS INC. from liability for:
- Participation in events
- Interactions with other users
- Injuries, accidents, or incidents
9. Organizer Responsibility
Organizers agree to:
- Provide accurate event details
- Act responsibly and in good faith
- Follow applicable laws and safety practices
Hikora is not responsible for organizer conduct.
10. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate laws or regulations
- Harass, threaten, or harm others
- Share false or misleading information
- Attempt unauthorized access or disrupt the Platform
11. Content
You retain ownership of your content, but grant Hikora a license to use it for operating and improving the Platform.
We may remove content that violates these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your activity poses risk to other users or the Platform
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available."
We make no guarantees regarding availability, reliability, or accuracy.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hikora and R & D ARTS INC. are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of data or profits
Total liability is limited to the amount you paid, if any.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hikora and R & D ARTS INC. from claims arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your participation in events
- Your violation of these Terms
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the Platform means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
